Take a moment to reflect during the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

Monday, January 19, 2026

The legacy of MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. left a profound impact on our society.  He stood for social justice and equality for all of mankind.  Being a social activist and a minister, he had a strong belief in nonviolent protest and advocated nonviolent methods of protest.  A leader in the civil rights movement of the 1950’s and 1960’s until his assassination in 1968.  Even though we’ve come a long way from the struggles endured during his time, we need to continue moving down that path from struggle to the strength of fairness and social justice.
