Frank Islas

We would like to extend our congratulations to Frank Islas for his successful election to the Wayne Township Advisory Board in the 2024 elections. His victory is a testament to his dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to the community. Frank was proudly endorsed by the Greater Marion County UAW-CAP Council and was a Path to Power candidate of the AFL-CIO, reflecting his strong advocacy for labor rights and community engagement.
Frank's professional career spans over 35 years in aviation, with his current role as an ETAM at Rolls Royce’s Lift Fan facility since 2007. As a dedicated member of Local 933, he has served as the Maywood unit Veterans Committee Chairman and currently holds the position of Financial Secretary for the Greater Marion County UAW CAP Council. Frank’s leadership within the union is driven by his passion for organized labor, veteran affairs, and community betterment.
His commitment to service extends beyond his union roles. Frank is an active member of several veteran organizations, including the American Legion, AmVets, Marine Corps League, and CVMA, all of which reflect his deep respect for those who have served our country.
Frank draws his strength and inspiration from his family: his wife Barbara, with whom he has shared 34 years of marriage, and their two daughters, Sara and Naomi. Their unwavering support continues to inspire his personal and professional growth as he strives to better serve his family, his union, and his community.
In his leisure time, Frank enjoys camping, boating, fishing, and motorcycle riding, always making time for those closest to him.
